Na z\u00e1pad od tohoto chr\u00e1mu lze vid\u011bt poz\u016fstatky dal\u0161\u00edho koptsk\u00e9ho kostela. B\u011bhem tohoto obdob\u00ed byly dve\u0159e vedouc\u00ed k Alexandrov\u011b svatyni zav\u0159eny a kostel byl um\u00edst\u011bn na druh\u00e9m otev\u0159en\u00e9m n\u00e1dvo\u0159\u00ed. Po zjeven\u00ed isl\u00e1mu jako n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed v Egypt\u011b byl chr\u00e1m po tis\u00edce let poh\u0159ben pod ulicemi a domy v Luxoru. Pozd\u011bji postavil Sufi Shaykh Yusuf Abu al-Hajjaj me\u0161itu nad severov\u00fdchodn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed. Kdy\u017e byl chr\u00e1m odhalen, tato me\u0161ita byla pe\u010dliv\u011b zachov\u00e1na.
