I was fascinated by the Burning Bush, which turned out to be a massive tree associated with Moses. Additionally, there were some stunning architectural structures to admire. The displays of ancient texts and icons were meticulously documented and very captivating. I had a great experience at this place and wish we had more time to explore fully.
The mountains in Sinai are genuinely breathtaking. Along the coast, they’re rugged and rocky with scarce vegetation. But if you venture to areas with more greenery and water, you’ll come across authentic Bedouin villages. These are genuine Bedouins who live off the land, with camels and goats and improvised housing mixed with cinderblock homes provided by the government. It’s not a Hollywood set but a genuine way of life.

У мене була мрія, побувати в священних місцях. І ось під час відпочинку в Єгипті, ми придбали путівку в монастир Святої Катерини. Сподобалося те, що на протязі всієї дороги була стільниковий зв’язок! Навіть в пустелі і горах вона ловить! У самому монастирі, атмосфера святості місця занурює в стан трансу. Я була захоплена і то що народу було і багато, відволіктися і піти в свої думки зовсім не заважає. Всім туристам рекомендую монастир Святої Катерини. Відчуття не забуваються.

Me and my husband always try to visit holy places and the monastery is one of them. I don’t know how we managed to create this tradition but I enjoy it pretty much! The Saint Catherine monastery isn’t something you see in other monasteries. I don’t want to spoil the details, you have to visit it yourself. All I can say it’s a wonderful excursion and I hope more people will choose to visit it instead of lying on the beach all day!
