Giza Pyramid Complex
The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza necropolis, is a collection of ancient structures located in Egypt. It includes the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, their associated complexes and the Great Sphinx.
These structures were constructed during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between 2600 and 2500 BC. The Complex also includes various temples, cemeteries, and remnants of a workers’ village.
The Giza pyramid complex lies on the outskirts of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) to the west of the Nile River in the city of Giza. This complex forms the northernmost portion of the 16,000-hectare (40,000-acre) Pyramid Fields of Memphis and its Necropolis UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1979.
The Pyramid Fields comprise the Abusir, Saqqara, and Dahshur pyramid complexes, constructed near Egypt’s ancient capital, Memphis. Other Old Kingdom pyramid fields were at Abu Rawash, Zawyet El Aryan, and Meidum.
The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the most giant pyramids ever built in ancient Egypt, and they have been widely used as symbols of Ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were trendy during Hellenistic times when Antipater of Sidon listed the Great Pyramid as one of the World’s Seven Wonders. It is also the oldest of the Ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.

The Pyramid of Khufu stands at a towering height of 138.5 metres. Located in the Giza pyramid complex, this oldest and largest Pyramid has astounded people through the centuries. This marvel constitutes a part of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world.
Pyramid of Khafre
The Pyramid Of Khafre stands at 448ft with a base length of 706ft. These measurements make the Pyramid the second-tallest and second-largest of the Giza Pyramid complex. This historical monument is also known as the Pyramid of Chephren. It houses the tomb of the Fourth Dynasty Pharaoh Khafre, who ruled between 2558-2532 BC.
Menkaure Pyramid
Menkaure is the third Pyramid in the Giza Pyramid complex in Greater Cairo, Egypt. Smallest of the three, this beautiful structure rises to 66 metres (218 feet). Menkaure Pyramid houses some of the most stunning sculptures from Ancient Egyptian history despite being short.
Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is one of the most significant sculptures in the world. It stands nearly 66 feet, showcasing a reclined lion’s body and a human head. A royal headdress adorns the Sphinx’s human head. The length of this magnificent statue is around 240 feet.

The best trip that I need to mention is the trip to the fantastic One wonder of the world! The journey to the famous Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. I know for sure that no one will miss this. Why should you? It is an experience of a lifetime. Then we have the next most wanted trip on the cards. A visit to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. These two are on the high priority list of all tourists visiting this country. I was left in awe of the same. How could people from those days have such accurate knowledge of engineering? The Pyramids remain a silent proof of the same. The perfect triangular shape of the Pyramids and the layered way they were built are yet to be discovered to date. The next must-see part of this trip is to the Egyptian Museum. Going there unfolds The Egyptian Civilization in front of you. In my history lessons back in school, I had read about the Egyptian Civilization being the oldest of all. And that is exactly what I behold here in the Museum. On this trip will be included a buffet lunch at a restaurant beside the Nile. All tickets to visit these places will be provided and a professional guide as well. The day will end with transfers back to the respective hotels in Cairo. One essential piece of information that is a mandate for this trip will be your Passport. That will be conveyed to you the day before you decide to embark on this trip. I will also suggest another attractive feature of this trip—the abundance of time and place to take pictures and be photographed. Доброго часу доби. Хотілося би розповісти про мою подорож з Хургади до Каїру.
Виїхали ми вночі, Їхали приблизно 5 годин. Дороги дуже гарні, автобус їхав дуже плавно.
По дорозі бачив цікаві застройки, цікаві та незвичайні вбрання людей.
Дуже цікаво було попасти до Єгипетського національного музею. Дуже дуже велике різноманіття статуй. Виставки в музеї розділені на багато приміщень. деякі експонати досягають 5000 років за віком. А чого варті мумії – це захоплення. Так би й ходив да фотографував всі експонати. Але треба було їхати далі.
Також можна було обрати прогулку по Нілу. Але я не схотів, тому що мені стає зле від розкачування плавзасобу.
Після невеликого обіду, нарешті попали до пірамід. Це просто велич!!! Велич людського труду! мабудь, багато вже сказано про них, але побачити наживо – це просто не передати словами! Нне передати. 3 піраміди – Головна (сама велика) – Хеопса, далі Хефрена (його син), більш менша за розміром, і третя – сама маленька – Мікеріна.
не можу не нагадати ще раз, як вражає міць, та велич будівництва.
Недалеко від пірамід є ще 3,маленькі, – цариць. також дуже вражає скульптура – Сфінкс, з тілом льва та обличчям Хефрена (начебто).
Взагалі – мені дуже сподобалося. Дуже. Я в захваті… Це – просто не можна передати словами.

Очень хотела посмотреть на пирамиды, и вот, ребята с компании Ландиус тур дали мне такую возможность, причем намного дешевле, чем мне предлагали в отеле. Очень понравилась экскурсия, гид все очень подробно рассказал. Потом мы еще взяли поездку по Нилу, тоже очень увлекательное путешествие. Очень довольны, получили кучу впечатлений и положительных эмоций, также узнали много интересного об этой стране, ее обычаях и культуре.
