Embark on a journey of discovery with our 2 Day trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel from Marsa Alam or Port Ghalib. You will have the opportunity to explore Aswan attractions and venture further to Nubia to see the temples of Abu Simbel.

Among the sights, you will visit the High Dam, the Temple of Goddess Isis on Philae Island, The Unfinished Obelisk of Hatshepsut, and Ramses II’s temples. You will also enjoy a delightful Nile picnic on Felucca. The trip price includes Food and Accommodation.

On the first day, you will be picked up from your Hurghada or Port Ghalib hotel at 05:00 am and travel by private vehicle to Aswan. The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Once you arrive, you will visit the High Dam, Phiala temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk.

You can also enjoy sailing on the Nile with an Egyptian Felucca. The Phiala temple was built to honour the goddess Isis and was the last temple built in the classical Egyptian style. The High Dam is a rock-filled dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan. The Unfinished Obelisk sheds light on how ancient Egyptians created statues and obelisks.

In the afternoon, you can visit the Nubian village, an authentic and colourful place that will surprise you in every corner. Spend 2 hours exploring and getting to know the soul of this place.

On the second day, you will have an early pick-up from your hotel in Aswan at 04:00 am to travel by air-conditioned vehicle from Aswan to Abu Simbel. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. The two temples were carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC.

Upon arrival, an Egyptologist guide will tell you all about one of the greatest and most whimsical pharaohs in Egyptian history. Marvel at the main façade of the Great Temple to Ramesses II and its four statues of the pharaoh seated on his throne following his advancing age.

The main temple is dedicated to Amon-Re Horakhty and Ptah. The smaller temple of Ramesses’ consort, Queen Nefertari, is next to the Great Temple. Admire the impressive rock-cut façade depicting the pharaoh and his queen. After the tour, lunch will be served in Aswan before you return to Marsa Alam.

Inclusions for the tour include hotel pick-up and drop-off in Aswan, an Egyptologist guide, bottled water on board the vehicle during the tour, entrance fees to the mentioned sights in Aswan & Abu Simbel, transportation by private air-conditioned car, lunch at a quality restaurant with tasty food in Aswan, and one-night accommodation at Basma hotel in Aswan.

As a lonely traveler I always prefer historical places above all. The Aswan Abu Simbel Trip is definitely a combination of them. I would need to organize a lot of stuff to visit everything this trip suggests but I thought that booking the excursion is the best way of saving time and power. I got so interested in the history that I’m planning to write an article about it. Hope you guys will enjoy this trip as much as I did. Recommended!
