On a good day, there’s a fair chance you can see dolphins in the Red Sea if your skipper knows where to go. We know where to go for a unique opportunity to observe dolphins. Dolphins will see you as their best pals if you leave them in peace. Therefore, you need to know a few things about these lovely creatures to enjoy your trip even more.

Dolphins are intelligent, graceful, fragile and very sensitive, yet, in essence, they are wild animals. They are, mild as they are, still predators who live in the wild where our trip will take us, heading for the area of Fanouz and Sha’ab el Erg. You cannot expect them to show up at your command to entertain you.

These sites have a protectorate status. They are national maritime parks, and of course, we strictly follow their rules and regulations for the comfort of the dolphins. When you encounter bottlenose dolphins on your trip, you should act respectfully and observe the codes of conduct as we do. Rule number one: never touch a dolphin. It is very tempting to feel them because they act playful and have a cuddly appearance. However, touching may transmit disease.

Dolphins are curious; if they come to play around you, sometimes even within touching distance, that’s fine. The dolphins decide if they want to entertain you, but keep a distance and do not touch them. They will be grateful for your respect and become your best friends! Just enjoy passive interaction.

Itinerary of the Dolphin Swimming Trip

The dolphin snorkelling trip begins with relaxing on a boat and enjoying the sunshine. Following a pick-up from your Hurghada hotel on an air-conditioned vehicle, you sail for the famous Dolphin House area, where many dolphins can swim in their natural environment. Spend about 1.5 hours sunbathing before you reach the Dolphin House.

Swim with dolphins in their natural habitat, living away from the constraints of an artificial pool and controlled environment. Mother Nature is accommodating, and you will see dozens of dolphins playing in the water and swimming alongside your boat. If the weather allows, you can even jump in and play with them!

The area is ideal for snorkelling, whether the dolphins are playful or not. Observe dolphins’ normal behaviour; if they choose to come and play with you, it’s according to their will. Admire the beautiful corals and many unfamiliar fish far from the tourist crowds.

You will make three stops to snorkel in the Red Sea in different locations. Our crew will also serve lunch on board. If you are interested in diving, the crew can organise a trial lesson with a professional instructor (please advise in advance). In the late afternoon, return to the pier for your transfer back to your hotel in Hurghada.
