Explore the grand Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and Giza, and delve into the rich history of Luxor and Aswan, where the Pharaohs once reigned. Unwind and enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Red Sea in Hurghada after visiting the stunning White Desert.

Day 1: Arrival Cairo, Egypt

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by an English-speaking tour leader from Landious Travel. He will assist you in checking in to your hotel and provide you with a review of your 11-day Egypt itinerary. Together, you will determine the pick-up times for each day to ensure a joyful and seamless travel experience.

Day 2

Day 2 of your Egypt Travel Packages begins with a visit to one of the most impressive sites in Egypt. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, your accredited Egyptologist guide will meet you to embark on a tour of the Giza Pyramids.

This tour includes visiting the Great Pyramid of Cheops, built by King Cheops almost 4500 years ago. Your guide will explain the different hypotheses surrounding the construction of the pyramid.

The middle pyramid of King Chephren will also be visited. It was built smaller than his father’s pyramid, but its higher ground level makes it appear larger. The smallest pyramid, built for the burial of King Mycerinus, will also be explored. A walk around the Giza Necropolis will provide an opportunity to see the Great Sphinx of Giza, a lion-shaped body with a human head.

Following the pyramids tour, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts and masterpieces. This includes recently discovered tombs, gold and silver items, wooden coffins, sarcophagi, and papyri scrolls. The museum also features over 120,000 everyday life tools and accessories, statues, and King Tutankhamun’s golden collection.

A lunch in a good quality restaurant will be provided before embarking on the Coptic Cairo tour. This historic area includes the oldest churches in Coptic history in the Middle East. It is believed that the Holy Family took refuge in this area while fleeing persecution.

The tour includes a visit to the Hanging Church, dedicated to the Holy Virgin Mary. Due to its lack of foundations, it is called Al Moallaqa, or the hanging or suspended church. It was built on top of an old Roman fortress of Babylon. The Abu Serga Church, one of Egypt’s oldest and most influential churches, will also be visited. Finally, the ancient Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra, previously a Coptic church, will be explored.

Your Egyptologist guide will then escort you back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight accommodation will be provided at your hotel.

Day 3: White Desert Tour

A proficient Egyptologist guide will personally tour the White Desert in Egypt after a satisfying breakfast. The White Desert is so named due to its land’s partial coverage by limestone and chalk layers, which lend it a white, enchanting aspect even at night. Visitors will be treated to the sight of golden dunes, a salt lake, and green and lush date palm groves, for the oasis is renowned for its palm trees and fruit gardens. The journey will also include a trip through the Black Desert, named for a layer of black powder covering its mountains, arising from the eruption of a dark volcanic material known as dolerite. The tour will also take visitors to the Valley of El Haize, located approximately 50km south of Bawiti, the central village of Bahariya Oasis. A stop at Crystal Mountain will provide an opportunity to view the quartz crystal, located about 160 km from Baharyia oasis, renowned as the jewel of the desert due to its comprising over 12 types of crystal. Finally, the fabulous Valley of Agabat will be visited before settling in for an overnight camping experience in the White Desert. During this period, visitors can enjoy a sumptuous dinner while enjoying the spectacular sunset.

Day 4: Bahariya Oasis Tour

As part of your White Desert tour, it is recommended that you partake in breakfast amidst the desert’s stunning landscape. The White Desert area boasts an array of magnificent formations, such as the Mushroom, Chicken, Rabbit, Tree, and Tent formations. This presents an excellent opportunity for capturing the beauty of the limestone rocks and formations through photography. Following this experience, you will return to Bahariya Oasis, where our tour leader will transfer you to your Cairo hotel via an exclusive air-conditioned vehicle. Overnight accommodations will be provided.

Day 5: Cairo to Aswan – Aswan Sightseeing Tours

You will then be introduced to your English-speaking tour guide, who will guide you through Aswan’s sightseeing tours, beginning with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, constructed by former President Gamal Abdel Nasser between 1960 and 1971. The dam was built to protect Egypt from floods and to provide electricity to the country. Next, you will visit the Philae Temple, a religious site dedicated to worshipping the Goddess Isis. It is one of the last remaining temples where the ancient Egyptian religion was practised after Christianity spread throughout Egypt. After your Aswan day tours, you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan for check-in and overnight stay.

Day 6: Edfu Temple – Overnight in Luxor

After indulging in a savoury breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and rendezvous with your designated tour guide to begin exploring the Temple of Edfu. This monumental structure was erected in honour of the revered falcon deity, Horus, during the Greco-Roman era, using sturdy sandstone blocks. You will be transported to your Luxor hotel for the night following your visit.

Day 7: Karnak Temple – Luxor Museum

Following a delectable breakfast at your hotel, embark on a fascinating Luxor day tour commencing with a visit to Karnak Temple. This ancient temple, situated on the East Bank of the River Nile, was constructed approximately 3400 years ago by King Amenhotep III during the new kingdom and was later completed by King Ramses II.

Continuing your East Bank of Luxor tour, visiting the Luxor Museum is highly recommended. Established in 1975, this renowned museum boasts an impressive collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including King Amenhotep III’s. Additionally, Coptic monuments from the 5th century and Islamic pieces from the Mamluk era can be viewed within the museum. Conclude your tour by returning to your hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Luxor West Bank Tours

After enjoying your breakfast, you will embark on a tour of the West Bank of Luxor, where you can witness some of the most exciting sites in the area. The Colossi of Memnon, built for King Amenhotep III, are a testament to the prosperity of Egypt during his reign, both in terms of art and economics. The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by the most muscular woman to rule Egypt in the Pharaonic era, is another tourist attraction on the tour. During your visit, you will learn more about the great queen and the dispute between her and her son-in-law, Tuthmosis III, who destroyed most of her statues.

Next on the itinerary is the Valley of the Kings, where ancient pharaohs chose to be buried as their entrance to the other world. This impressive location boasts over 62 tombs of great kings, the most famous of which belongs to King Tutankhamun. His tomb was found entirely with all his treasures intact, making it a must-see attraction. After this, you will transfer to Hurghada for check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.
