Our team is committed to providing a comfortable and stress-free trip to the Abu Simbel temples from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan. We understand this is a significant part of your trip and want to ensure you have a memorable experience.
To start the journey, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to the checkpoint of Abu Simbel near the High Dam. The journey from Aswan to Abu Simbel is long, covering about 280 km; we’ll begin at 55:00 a.m. However, we’ll take a break after an hour and a half of driving so that you can stretch your legs and relax before continuing the journey.

Schedule in Abu Simbel

At the Abu Simbel temples, you’ll learn about their rich history and how they were displaced in 1960 with the help of the Egyptian government and UNESCO to avoid the rising waters of the Nile. You’ll also get to admire the stunning mural depicting the famous victory of Ramses II at the Battle of Qadesh and see the small temple he built for his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
