Built between 527 and 565 AD, it is named after St. Catherine, who was martyred for her Christian beliefs.
During your visit, you will see the Greek Orthodox Church, worship icons, and the famous Mosaic of Transfiguration. The monastery also houses the Chapel of the Burning Bush, which is said to be the site where Moses saw the burning bush. We'll start your day early, picking you up from your hotel in Hurghada at 05:00 by an air-conditioned coach to Luxor. Our tour will take you across the Nile to visit some of the most spectacular highlights, starting with the Valley of the Kings.
This site is the final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, including the great Pharaoh Ramses II and the boy Pharaoh Tutankhamun. You'll visit three tombs, and the Tomb of The Young Pharaoh Tutankhamun costs an additional 300 Egyptian Pounds.
Next, we'll visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III that are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. These statues were made from blocks of quartzite sandstone in Cairo and were moved 700 KM to Luxor.
The two statues, known as the Colossi of Memnon, rise about 18 meters from the plain. They are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep the Third. At around noon, we'll stop for lunch in a local restaurant in Luxor and then visit the Temple of Karnak—the largest ancient religious site known anywhere in the world.
Another highlight of our tour is the Queen Hatshepsut temple, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces. The temple of Hatshepsut merges with the sheer limestone cliffs of Theban Mountain's eastern face as if nature had built this extraordinary monument.
Lastly, we'll visit the Temple of Karnak Karnak Egypt 360, the largest ancient religious site known anywhere in the world. No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs.
At 17:00, we'll transfer you to your hotel in Hurghada by private air-conditioned vehicle to end your day trip from Hurghada to Luxor. Please note that all times are guidelines, and you can adjust the suggested times individually.

If you've chosen to spend your holiday in Sharm El-Sheikh, we have an opportunity for you to experience the Holy Land in Israel.
The Jerusalem Over Day Tour will allow you to delve into this sacred space's spiritual and historical significance. You'll visit the Mount of Olives and the Wailing Wall and walk along Tribulation Road. You'll also see the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Church of the Nativity, and finally, make a stop at the Dead Sea. The cost of the trip includes transfers, entrance tickets, and lunch.
Our excursion itinerary begins with a confirmation email that includes the trip's details, including the pick-up time from your hotel (usually around 8:00 a.m., depending on your hotel's location). After you've been picked up, we'll cross the border to the other side of Israel on foot, where you'll meet your English-speaking tour guide.
Please be aware that the time spent on the border is out of our control due to many travellers and political issues.
We'll then drive for an hour and a half along the Avara Valley towards the Dead Sea, the deepest point on Earth. If you wish, you can explore its natural beauty and dip in mineral-rich waters. We'll also visit the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found and witness the Bedouin groups living in the desert.
Arriving at the Mount of Olives, you'll have a panoramic view of the city and an introduction to its history and culture. We'll then visit the Wailing Wall, the last remains of the Jewish temple, and follow the way of suffering which leads to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified and buried.
We'll break for lunch at one of the local restaurants before visiting the city of Bethlehem, where the Church of Nativity is located. This is where Jesus Christ was born and is the central pilgrimage destination for Christians worldwide. Before returning to the border, we'll have an opportunity to shop in Bethlehem for souvenirs from this holy place.

I’m fascinated with Egyptian mythology, so naturally when I got the chance to be in Egypt I picked this your. The guide was able to tell me something I did not know 🙂 And the Temple was simply breathtaking.
